Ukraine has increased citrus fruit imports with 16% in the first half of 2007

The analysts of CIS produce business periodical, "Agrooglyad: Fruits and Vegetables" weekly inform, Ukrainians increased 16% the consumption of citrus fruits in the first half of the current year in comparison with the same period of time in the previous year. 185,000 tons of oranges, tangerines and lemons (excluding grapefruits and other types of citrus fruits) have been shipped to the country during first six months of 2007.Tangerine exports have increased the most sharply (+20%) during the reporting period. However, if the import volumes are estimated, orange continued enjoying leadership, as the supplies of this fruit constituted 54% of the total import.
