Spain: Moroccan tomato import too large

Tholen - Morocco exported 23.000 tons too many tomatoes than allowed by the EU quota of 233.000 tons last campaign, says the Spanish Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables, Fepex. Spanish prices are said to have dropped 0,377 cent per kg because of the large supply, states the agricultural board in Madrid.Between January and May, Spain imported 36% more vegetables than during the same period last year.
